Our speaker today was Heather Ritter with Learning Tree Farm.
Heather has been the Executive Director of Learning Tree Farm since April of 2019. Originally from Vandalia, Heather was raised with a love of the outdoors and the heart of a volunteer through her parents who worked and volunteered at a local Nature Center and took the family camping on a regular basis. Now a mother herself of two boys (8 years old, and 15 months old) she and her husband, Chase, enjoy passing along this same appreciation for nature and “lending a hand” to their sons that she was given as a child.
During Heather’s past position of Downtown Director for Tipp City, OH she led the effort on preservation, promotion, and economic vitality in the historic district. Prior to this Heather worked for the Troy Chamber of Commerce as the Director of the Strawberry Festival and the Leadership Troy program. She gained extensive knowledge in business relations and business management, as well as volunteer management, networking, and event coordination while in these positions.
In Heather’s free time she is very active at Polk Grove United Church of Christ as the choir director and praise team leader. She is also a member of a bluegrass band through the church called The Polk Berry Pickers and also enjoys hiking, cooking, and wine tasting.
Boyd closed the meeting with the 4-way test.
